Within a production rationalisation process, on 31/12/2017 the Civate plant was sold to Itla Bonaiti srl, a CLN Group company, specialised in the sector of high-carbon steel re-rolling.

The Civate plant, specialised in the rolling and quencing processes, thus enters a unique high-carbon steel re-rolling hub in Italy, able to compete with the main European re-rollers, also thanks to the recent joint venture with Bonaiti.

On ArcelorMittal CLN side, the transfer is part of a production re-organisation process in view of a logical aggregation of the industrial footprint.
