On April 4, 2018, an agreement was signed to formalize the entry of ArcelorMittal CLN Distribuzione Italia srl into the capital of Centro Servizi Metalli S.p.A. (CSM) with a shareholding equal to 42.39%, working hand in glove with the Industeel Belgium Group, part of the ArcelorMittal Group, which concurrently rises from 21% to 49%.
The CSM Group has been operating since 1988 in the cutting sector (waterjet, plasma and mechanical) and in the distribution of stainless steel and nickel alloys, with a powerful presence in Europe where the CSM Group has three production sites (Italy, Poland and France), three commercial offices (two in Germany and one in Benelux). It is present in a wide range of sectors, including the naval, oil & gas, food & beverage, packaging, paper and pharmaceutical industries.
The transaction confirms ArcelorMittal CLN Distribuzione Italia business strategy aimed at identifying and enhancing positive synergies offered through the collaboration of its new partners, along with the aim of expanding the range of services and products, improving and roadmapping its presence on the final market.
The entry into the CSM Group will favor mutual synergies as well as with the Industeel Group, thanks to the portfolio of services and products available, capable of creating new business development opportunities in sectors of particular interest for ArcelorMittal CLN Distribuzione Italia (crane, earth-moving, ballistic, naval, offshore, oil & gas) together with partners who share common growth goals.
