Among the various investments planned by us for 2020 there is the one of the expansion of the coils storage warehouse and for the increase of the storage space for cut to length sheet material in commercial thicknesses and formats at our plant of Fontanellato (PR).
The purpose of this investment, now fully operating, was to respond to the market increasingly widespread need for JIT delivery of the most popular products.
The surface of the new area for coils storage is approximately 10,000 square meters and, in order to manage the stock of the cut to length material, a system managed by SAP has been developed internally and identifies the hub as a third-party customer to be fed continuously, based on variations in the measures available on the ground.
The products available at the Fontanellato hub in commercial sizes are black hot rolled, pickled hot rolled, cold rolled and hot-dip galvanized steel.
For the future it is planned to expand the product range at the hub in order to increase the service to the market.
