Aiming at the expansion of our product range, at the increase of our production capacity and at the continuous improvement of efficiency, in 2020, despite the particular negative situation due to Covid-19, it was decided to invest in the new SL1650 slitter, a confirmed investment, which will be operative, at our Monza plant, starting from May 2021.
The main characteristics of the new system are:
- Thickness Range: 0,20 – 3,0 mm
- Max Rm: 1000 MPa
- Max Coil Weight: 30 ton
- Max Coil Width: 1650mm
- Max Slit Coil Weight: 25 ton
- Max Speed: 400 m/min
- Max Number of Cuts: 35
This line was designed also thinking at e-mobility and will allow us to work the NGO Automotive electrical steel, characterized by more and more thin thicknesses, high breaking load, with high coil weight.
Being future-oriented, the line is equipped with an automatic measuring device of the strip width during the line set-up phase and a thickness continuously measuring device interconnected to the company ERP, eliminating in this way the line stops due to the dimensional measurements.
It will also be our first << Industry 4.0 compliant >> slitting line, thanks to edge systems to monitor telemetry and collect real-time information from the system.
