The SP2203 in Alpignano has been back in operation for a few weeks, following a revamping process carried out in collaboration with FIMI, always aiming for continuous improvement.

It was decided to invest in order to enhance fundamental aspects for our customers and the market:

1. Product quality, by reducing machine setup errors and the amount of scale typical of hot-rolled black steel
2. Production efficiency, by speeding up the process

For the progressive reduction of the weight of the vehicles, the most performing solution is the use of the latest generation of high-strength steels (AHSS / UHSS / PHS).

Another current solution, sometimes combined with steel, is the use of aluminum alloys which, thanks to the low density, allow to further reduce the mass of some components.

ArcelorMittal CLN also follows the development of these products and is technically capable of cut to length and slit aluminum alloys, with a focus on 5000 and 6000 alloys, from th. 0.5mm to th. 3mm.

Coiltech 2018 will take place in Pordenone from 26 to 27 September. 

At our Atella Service Center, the beginning of 2018 saw the completion of the ambitious production project dedicated to the cold stamping of metal components for the automotive sector.

Our goal is to integrate the service offered until now, completing the range. Thanks to the investments, which are now being implemented, the stamping activity has been started by installing a 1250 tons press, already operational. 

Within Rieti’s service center a new production unit was born dedicated to cold stamping and assembly of metal components for the automotive sector.

Within a production rationalisation process, on 31/12/2017 the Civate plant was sold to Itla Bonaiti srl, a CLN Group company, specialised in the sector of high-carbon steel re-rolling.

On 31/12/2017 the acquisition of Metallurgica Graffignana S.r.l. was accomplished, through incorporation in ArcelorMittal CLN Distribuzione Italia srl.

The production plant – located in via Marcora 16, Graffignana (LO) Italy – joins the production footprint of ArcelorMittal CLN, while maintaining its manufacturing specialisation in the cold rolling business sector.

In a sort of ideal ship raising anchor after two years from its debut, ArcelorMittal CLN has welcomed customers and visitors at Made in Steel 2017 (17-19 May 2017 - Milanofiere Rho, Italy).
The concept of links in their meaning of union, connection, capillary presence and future development hub, has been the frame of our stand, which has witnessed a large number of guests during the three-day event.

From May 17 to 19  we are attending Made in Steel tradeshow at Fieramilano Rho. You will find us in hall 24 - stand G01. 

During autumn 2016, ArcelorMittal CLN has successfully completed the first edition of the Steel Solutions Days.

The Steel Solutions Days are events dedicated to our customers representing the main industrial sectors. They were meant to create a meeting opportunity out of the daily routine in order to find out whatever innovative and meaningful is happening in the steel world.

Our range of electrical steels was welcomed with great interest by the tradeshow visitors.
